My second gift in for
There were a lot of things to choose from in her profile, but there was one thing that immediately caught my eye and overshadowed everything else. She said that one of her favorite series was Abhorsen by Garth Nix, which I also love, but have never heard of anyone else I know reading outside of my family. So that was a lock on my topic; however, it took me a little longer to decide exactly what would be both meaningful and plausible for me to make from the series. Then it hit me-- who better to do than Mogget, the enigmatic creature that remains a mystery right to the very end? So that's what I did; I crocheted Mogget in his cat form, as that is what he appears as most frequently, and was most within my skill level. The collar and bell were scavenged from Christmas paraphernelia, and the eyes, nose and mouth were needle felted on. He was a bit challenging, but fun to make. Hope she likes the little guy as much as I did
